The ABEM examination is the only U.S. exam certifying physicians in EDX medicine, with more than 3500 physicians currently certified.
The ABEM certification signifies that a physician has passed the most comprehensive examination (recognized nationally and internationally) in EDX medicine. It demonstrates to patients and colleagues a high level of quality EDX medicine and dedication to the specialty. Some EDX laboratories require this certification before a physician can practice there. It is also required to become a Fellow member of the AANEM.
