  4. Display your ABEM certificate prominently in your office.
  5. Utilize the eBadges in patient reports, email signatures or websites.
  6. Include the statement “Board-Certified by the American Board of Electrodiagnostic Medicine” on your professional stationery, business cards, and website.*
* Before including language of ABEM Board Certification or that a physician is an ABEM Diplomate in any advertising, check the laws in your state regarding physicians advertising.  Several states including California limit the use of these terms to physicians certified by American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS), American Osteopathic Association  Bureau of Osteopathic Specialists, or other groups designated within the law.   Boards, like ABEM, that are not listed in the law need to meet standards identified within the laws and often need to go through an approval process. ABEM Board Certification has been approved for physician advertising in Texas and Florida.
